The Latin American Relief Fund (LARF) is very pleased to present Hope Frye, a distinguished American lawyer specializing in immigration and human rights, who will talk about the continuing tragedy of immigrant children in the United States who are being separated from their parents, held in prison-like detention facilities, and/or deported without due process—often to countries they barely remember or may never have known, as some of these children are U.S. citizens.

A lawyer for almost fifty years, Hope has worked on the development of policy and law, represented clients, and litigated cases during the administrations of eight different U.S. presidents. Hope has a special interest in all vulnerable populations and has worked extensively on issues related to women and children. During the first Trump administration, Hope exposed the fact that immigrant children were being held in cages, and testified before both the Senate and House about conditions for children held in government detention.
